I have been thinking for quite some time that it would be useful to have some type of musical search engine. By musical search engine, I mean a search engine where the user enters the musical notes or the tune of a song, and it would find the name of the song and/or the artist(s) of the song.
This would be useful because if you remember the tune of a song, which is generally easier to remember than the name of a song, it would help you find out what song it is. Also, sometimes people hear the tune of a song but do not know the lyrics or title of the song, so searching the music through a tune would be useful.
